Detection of unknown viruses

Enabling the behavioral analysis:

Follow these steps to enable this protection:

1. Click Status in the main window.

2. In the Protection section, click Settings.

3. Click Unknown threats.

4. Make sure that the option Enable protection against unknown threats is enabled.

5. To enable this option, make sure that the option Enable behavioral analysis is selected (it is selected by default).

If you would like a warning to appear every time detects a network virus or other unknown threats, click Settings an select the box Show warning if viruses and other threats are detected.

When you enable this protection, will be on the lookout for possible unknown threats that could jeopardize your security.

Note: The technologies specialized in detecting malware through analyzing the behavior of processes can block certain applications that behave suspiciously. If you think it is necessary, you can disable the behavioral analysis at any time.

Enabling the heuristic scan:

The heuristic scan can detect viruses and other threats in files on your PC, by analyzing the code in-depth. To enable this type of scan:

1. Click Status in the main window.

2. In the Protection section, click Settings.

3. Click Unknown threats.

4. Make sure that the option Enable protection against unknown threats is enabled.

5. To enable genetic heuristic scanning of files, email, instant messaging and the Internet, make sure that the corresponding checkboxes are selected.
